You already know this...

You're good at what you do. But it feels like something's still missing?

You've got a great offer but you're just not attracting the right clients or enough clients.

A lot of this can be put down to how you're showing up online.

  • Maybe your profile photo is a few years old.
  • Maybe you're always using "that'll do" selfies.
  • Maybe it's a few cropped photos from your mate's wedding last year.

Your photos start conversations before you even say a word.

If they feel a little off, you're starting on the back foot.

Your clients will feel it. They'll start to question your ability, your quality and your competence. And we don't want that.

Personal branding photography for founders and business owners

What usually happens

Most people I talk with know they need to get on top of their photography. But they've been holding off.

Usually because...

  • They don't know where to start
  • They don't know what they need
  • They feel awkward about being photographed
  • They think professional photography isn't for someone like them

So they carry on making do with selfies or stock photos or hiding behind graphic images. All the while missing out on making connections that will lead to more opportunities.

That's where I come in

As a personal branding photographer, I work with founders, coaches and business owners to create photography that actually reflects the quality of their work.

Before picking up a camera, we have a conversation. We cover things like where the images will be used. What you want people to feel when they see them. What the desired message is etc.

This helps us work out whether you need headshots, lifestyle shots or a full image library for your website and socials.

This conversation is the most important part. It helps me plan the perfect session.

The planning means on the day, you can just turn up with an open mind, ready for action.

I handle the guidance, the direction and everything else needed to get the best from you.

You walk away feeling great, with set of images to actually put to work. Not hundreds of shots that look nice but serve no purpose.

"I was nervous about doing a photoshoot in public but Steve helped me relax in no time. I soon forgot we were actually shooting and I really enjoyed the experience."

How it works.

Steve Currie, personal branding photographer.

I. Plan

Before the shoot, we talk through what you need, where the images will be used, and the kind of feel you want them to have.

That way, nothing is left to guesswork.

II. Shoot.

On the day, I guide you through the whole thing: what to do, where to stand, how to relax.

You don't need to know how to pose or how to be good in front of the camera.

III. Deliver

After the shoot, once you've made your selections, you'll receive a carefully edited set of images ready for your website, LinkedIn, social media, print or anywhere else you need them.

Why this matters.

Whether we admit it or not, most of us look people up before deciding to work with them.

People will be doing this with you. They'll check your LinkedIn profile, your website, your about page before they ever get in touch.

The images they find will give them their first impression.

If the photos feel dated, awkward, or a bit off it creates doubt.

Branding is about creating a feeling. Through your images we can start to build trust before you've even said a word.

Done right, you'll look approachable, competent and like the right person to help.

"I hate having my photo taken!"

This is probably the most common thing people say to me before a shoot and I get it.

Most people aren't used to being in front of a camera. They're worried about looking awkward, not knowing what to do or ending up with photos that just don't feel like them.

This is exactly why the way I work matters.

I take the time to ease you into it properly. No camera in your face the second you arrive. No pressure to suddenly perform. Just clear direction, encouragement and a relaxed vibe that you can easily settle into.

I've worked on both sides of the camera, so I know how strange it can feel having one pointed at you. I also know that most people end up enjoying it a lot more than they expected.

Check my Google reviews. You'll see that "feeling comfortable" and "being put at ease" comes up again and again.

FAQ

How much does the personal branding photoshoot cost?

This will always depend on exactly what's required. I offer taster sessions and photography update sessions. As well as half-day and full-day personal branding photography shoots.

So whatever you need, I can help. Just get in touch and we can discuss exactly what'll work for you.

How long does a personal branding photoshoot take?

This will depend on the package chosen. All shoots are planned in advance so we can maximise the time on the day.

Whether it's a 60-minute taster session or a half / full day shoot, you can rest assured that the time is used in the most efficient way.

What if I hate having my photo taken?

You're not alone. In fact, most clients say this to me. But the process is designed to help you feel comfortable.

Everything is planned in advance, and you get all the guidance and support on the day that you'll need.

I've been doing this long enough to know exactly what works.

What if the photos don't feel like me?

This is exactly why we have the planning phase. This makes sure that we understand everything about you, your audience, and your message before we start shooting. On the day, you get to see the images that we are creating, so we can fix anything you're not happy with there and then.

It's all so important that you've seen my previous work and are happy with my style before we work together.

Can I split payments?

All of my branding shoots are split by initial deposit in advance once and then final balance on shoot day.

However, the final balance can be split if it helps with cash flow.

What happens if the weather is bad on shoot day?

We'll always stay in touch in the run up to the shoot. If it looks like the weather is not going to be on our side, we can make other arrangements.

Don't stress about this. Flexibility is key, and I'll look after you.

Can you do video as well

I don't personally provide video services, but I do work with a videographer I can connect you with.

He's amazing and can certainly help you, out so just ask.

How many personal brand photos will I really need?

It depends on where you are using them. For most people, I suggest between 10 and 50 will cover website, LinkedIn, socials, etc. If you're more active online, then more images may be required, but we will figure all this out during our conversation.

What does a personal branding photographer actually do

A personal branding photographer helps you create images that reflect who you are and what your business is about. It's not just headshots; it's a planned set of photos designed around how and where you'll use them.

How is a personal branding photographer different from a regular portrait photographer

A portrait photographer will take a photo that captures the real you. A personal branding photographer does the same but also thinks about your business, your audience and the message you want to get across making sure your photos do the job they're required to do.

Want your images to do even more?

A strong set of photos is a great start. But they're only part of the story. What you say matters too.

A lot of my clients no, they need to show up more consistently online, but they're already stretched! This is exactly why I created the Content Clarity Plan.

Using everything I know about you and the images we've created, I write content for LinkedIn blogs and websites I make sure everything works together and makes the right impression.
